Bette Midler Concert Tickets — Avoid Ticketing Booth Queues

Bette Midler has endeared herself to generations of Broadway lovers through her comedy routines, singing talent, caustic wit (often directed at herself), and powerful movie roles. Bette was born in 1945 to a painter father and seamstress mother. She grew up in Hawaii, in a poor neighborhood where living was hard but the scenic beauty, in her own words, compensated for that. After graduating high school in Hawaii, she found a small role in the movie “Hawaii” in 1966. This role helped her to pay her way to New York, where she began to work in earnest on her dream of being a performer. Performer she became, and how! Forty years since her Hollywood debut, Bette remains a major draw, and Bette Midler concert tickets sell out in record time.

Soon after moving to New York, Bette found a role in the Broadway musical “Fiddler on the Roof.” With success came tragedy — the performer’s sister, Judy, was killed in a road accident when she visited the city to watch Bette perform. By 1970, Bette was singing in clubs and performing comedy routines. Her chosen performance venues and bawdy humor made her popular with audiences. Years later, the same earthy humor laced with sharp observations on life and people continues to endear her to fans, going by the demand for Bette Midler concert tickets. (Remember her comparison of white bread and Olivia Newton-John’s singing?)

In the 1970s, Bette finally got the chance to be a recording artist when she teamed up with Barry Manilow to work on her first album — The Divine Miss M. In 1973, the album won her a Grammy. Bette next turned to theater as a means of buttressing her reputation as a performer. Her play, Clams on the Halfshell, won a Tony award. Between her comedy routines and touring with the play’s cast, Bette found time to record her second album, “Bette Midler.”

Movies were her last frontier (though she started out in the show business with a movie). In 1974, she portrayed Virgin Mary in a humorous interpretation of religion — “The Thorn.” Bette moved into the big league with “The Rose” in 1979. This movie role was as far removed from her previous Broadway, theater, and television roles as chalk from cheese. Bette portrayed a troubled rock and roll star, reportedly modeled on the 1960s sensation Janis Joplin. This movie placed her in the Oscar league with a nomination for the Best Actress category. Any subsequent Broadway roles would only see a greater rush for Bette Midler concert tickets.

Bette’s greatest Hollywood successes were yet to come. In the 1980s, she starred in a string of movies that became critical and commercial successes, chief among them being “Down and Out in Beverly Hills,” “Ruthless People,” “Outrageous Fortune,” and of course, “Beaches” (1988).
Fans today might get to see her in Broadway shows rather than in movies, though she has starred in movies that have been critically, if not commercially, acclaimed in the past 10 years. Her recent appearances have been in “Kiss My Brass,” and “The Showgirl Must Go On.” Getting Bette Midler concert tickets is no easy matter, but you can find tickets without lining up outside the booth an hour in advance…

Sourcing Tickets

Fans living outside New York need not despair — buying Bette Midler concert tickets has become quick, easy, and hassle-free thanks to online sellers and licensed ticket brokers. Making Room For The Netbook

Netbooks are a small version of a laptop. The mini system allows you to do some light computer use making it the ideal companion to the lap top. If you do a lot of things on the computer then having a laptop and a netbook is a great idea, however if you only do light things on the computer then the simple and cheap netbook is perfect to meet your needs.

The netbook is a great travel companion. It offers ideal battery life because of its low voltage ability. All you need to do is charge it over night and it is excellent to last most of the day. It is small so it sits nicely on your lap while you may be the passenger in a car on a road trip. It also works well at coffee shops and restaurants when you want to just take up a small space on your table.

The netbook works better than a smart phone, because the screen is larger and so are the keys. So for people who want to chat on the internet or surf the web while they are at a coffee shop, it is often easy to do so on a netbook rather than squint looking at a cell phone. It also has a longer battery life then the smart phones do. It`s not too big or not too small size is making them increasingly popular.

There is the small netbook where the screen is less than 9 inches wide and there is the large netbook where the screen is over 10 inches. It really depends on what your preference is. Some people are okay with having a smaller screen while others cannot even imagine it. The best thing to do is go into a store and check out the screen sizes for you; sometimes they look different in person rather than on the internet or in a flyer.

Netbooks are wonderful because they are lighter and smaller and certainly cost less than a laptop. They are great for light surfing on the net, chatting with friends using social networking sites, taking notes and doing other basic computer things. With the low voltage, the battery life is something that people consider, especially for someone like a student who needs it to take notes during class. Some netbooks come with printers for an extra small fee, which make them perfect for printing out item of interest, great for travelers.

There are some great ones on the market right now that sell for under a few hundred dollars. One to take note of is the HP mini 8.9 inch intell Atom N270 1.6 GHz. It has an intell Atom processor, a 1 GB system memory card, a 16 GB hard drive and an 8.9 inch widescreen. The mini netbook also features a webcam and wireless internet, the perfect choice for people who like to chat online.

Another great system is the HP 10.1 intell Atom N270 1.6 GHz netbook. It features an Atom processor a 1GB system memory with wireless internet and a huge 10.1 inch LED screen with amazing color and graphics. It also has 160 GB hard drive for excellent storage.

Selecting the right netbook might take some shopping around. You have to decide whether a small one is enough for you or if you really need that big screen one. When you decide on size then you can look at features and the price. The netbook is a handy little system that works well with people`s budgets.
